It was then

4/3/2017

Picture
It was then that I met her.
In my inner and private thoughts,
far from the crowded places of the everyday life,
beyond the transparent glass of the cozy and confident cage we indulge in living in so often
It was then that I met her, in an ordinary day, late in the afternoon,
when the hours take a different pace as the night approaches
The wind was icy, the sky covered by dark grey clouds
Deep in my thoughts I simply didn't care about things or people around
Walking fast through streets now voiceless memories of other times
Distant and foreign walls where ordinary lives live an ordinary life
Small windows as tiny eyes on the buildings
Time to time someone watching outside, observing people passing
A black silhouette as a sketch in a cartoon
Unknown eyes searching for something
Unknown hearts beating the sense of joy and pain
Life in the city
Life, as it is
Anywhere
Anytime
I turned the corner
Another street
Another collage of shapes and colours
Another collection of unknown stories
It was then that i met her
Almost stumbled upon her
So close that I had to stop my paces
It was then that I met her eyes
It was then that I recognised her
Although it was the first time we met
It was then
Infinite time of electric sensations exploding in flames through the universe
Canvas of million unexpected colours reshaping the sense of things
Intimate sensation of belonging and forgiveness
Confusion of rules, shivers of passion
Sudden dizziness, twist of fate, complete surrender
And then the silence
An infinite silence
And then the emptiness
An infinite emptiness
And then, that floating, tiny, uncategorised, unnamed eternity faded away
Like a dream
A ghost
A promise
Faded away
And the night smiled ambiguously
And whispered words I couldn't understand

Stories and novels, stories and shades of words. Sapphire can be a voice, a whisper, a night talk.  Colours in words, words merged and melted with pictures. Words as colours, words as shapes sometimes overlapping with the visual experience.  A different way to see the world or, maybe, just the very same way using different tools and finding different paths.
